Pipe Cutting Saw
History
A building materials manufacturer complained of continuous aggressive ingress of plastic shavings into standard sealed bearings on a pipe cutting saw. This resulted in regular failure and downtime.
Corrective Measures
NSK suggested replacing the original bearings with Molded-Oil™ type. The bearings were on trial for 12 months with no reported failures. This compared favourably against the regular 2-3 months lifespan of the original non NSK units.
