Gearing for Elevators
History
One of our customers was using several individual parts from different manufacturers in the gearing for elevators. Complex and often inappropriate installation created poor running characteristics and therefore caused irregular and unplanned shutdowns.
Corrective Measures
NSK development: bespoke design of a double row assembly which reduced the number of components.
The prototypes developed by NSK were released for series production during the test phase, lasting 31 weeks.
