History
Pulley bearings used in agricultural machinery require stronger external rings because of the increased pressure loads and a special sealing system to cope with the large amounts of dirt in the working environment.
Corrective Measures
Replacement of the existing pulley bearings with NSK pulley bearings with MA7 grease. The combination of the specific grease and the special sealing system produced optimum results in this application.
The prototypes and series production versions were manufactured in just 4 weeks because of tight production requirement deadlines.
The test phase lasted 2 weeks. The prototypes were released for series production by the customer within a total throughput period of 6 weeks.
