Petrochemical Plant - Oil Transport on a conveyor belt
History
An engineering company focussed on auxiliary equipment for petrochemical treatment plant and considered bearings to be assembled in the submerged rolls of the conveyor belts were the critical point in the design. These bearings were in directly contact with water, hydrocarbons and particles in suspension of the production process.
Corrective Measures
The application was studied by NSK engineers who recommended the use of high quality stainless steel ball bearings (H-20) and contact seals DDU type, ref. 6002L11-H20-DDU. Furthermore, in order to ensure effective lubrication under these extreme working conditions, Molded-Oil™ was considered the best option.
