NSK Provides Support for the Victims and Areas Afflicted by the Northeast Japan Earthquake
Tokyo, Japan, March 22, 2011 –
NSK Ltd. (NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Norio Otsuka) today announced that it will provide the following support for the devastated area and victims of the disaster.
NSK extends its deepest sympathy to the many victims and bereaved families left behind by the Northeast Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011, and its sincere condolences to all those affected by the disaster.
The NSK Group has decided to make the following donations to help with relief for victims of the earthquake and with reconstruction in the afflicted area:
- 100 million yen (around € 1 million) from the NSK Group
- 2 million yen (around € 20K) from Managers at NSK Ltd.
- 2 million yen (around € 20K) from the NSK Welfare Fund
- Donations from officers and employees of NSK Group companies (donated through the NSK Welfare Fund)
- Donations from NSK employees outside Japan.
NSK sincerely wishes for the safety of everyone concerned and for the quickest possible recovery in the disaster-stricken area.
