Top UK Design Journal Recognises NSK with Award for Sealed-clean SRB
The DPA Innovation Awards 2009 Winner for Bearings is NSK
NSK is pleased to announce that it has been awarded best product in the Bearings Category, in the 30th Anniversary Issue Innovation Awards, presented by one of the UK’s top design journals, Design Products and Applications (DPA). The award recognises a major example of technological innovation from NSK: the new Sealed-Clean range of spherical roller bearings.
The new SRB are an extension of NSK’s highly successful sealed clean range, which is well proven, providing longer maintenance free intervals and longer life across all industries from automotive to steelmaking. Combining high levels of ingress protection and operating reliability with long term maintenance- free operation, the sealed-clean SRB help to extend equipment life in demanding environments, where contamination or lubricant loss might otherwise cause premature bearing failure.
The DPA award to NSK marks the journal’s thirtieth- year of publishing. Over this period, there have been extraordinary leaps in technology that have quite simply changed the way we live: the personal computer, mobile telephony and the Internet, to name but a few.. Manufacturing industry, too, has enjoyed the benefits of remarkable technological advances, and to celebrate this, DPA asked suppliers and manufacturers to nominate products that they believe are representative of these advances for an online ‘virtual’ awards event: the DPA 30th Anniversary Issue Innovation Awards.
