Mathias Wuerges

Position:     Manager Steering Engineering
Site:           Ratingen, Germany

NSK offers me the opportunity to actively help establish our development centre and push it forwards.

“I haven’t been with NSK very long – my career here started in September 2009. As a mechanical engineer with an additional Master of Science in Energy Studies from the University of Sussex (UK), I worked at various automotive suppliers before I joined NSK. My experience of steering engineering and establishing development teams is crucial for my current role. It’s an extremely stimulating job!

As manager of Steering Engineering at the European Technology Centre (ETC) in Ratingen, Germany, I head up a team of developers specialising in system and software development, mechanical development and testing.

What makes my job so interesting is the opportunity to set up a development team at NSK to realise an extremely demanding technology with outstanding potential – together with highly motivated colleagues at a global firm.

I like NSK because everyone here is very open. It’s really easy to establish contact and maintain relationships with other people – not just in your own team, but also with the many international departments. People here work with – and not against – one another. Everyone pulls together to safeguard the high quality NSK is famous for and therefore ensure that our customers are happy. Along with the stimulating work, that is one of the reasons why I like working for NSK.”
