NSK Bearings Offer Improved Life Performance Against Vibration & Shock Loads

Bearings for vibrating applications, on quarrying equipment such as screens, feeders and compactors, must be able to tolerate very severe operating conditions and still perform reliably.
NSK’s CAM-VS series of spherical roller bearings is designed specifically to provide improved bearing life under these types of conditions, reducing levels of both vibration and noise by between 50% to 60%.

The vibratory specification of the CAM-VS series provides increased fatigue strength against the effects of vibration and shock loads conditions. The bearings are manufactured from high cleanliness steel to improve their operating life and are equipped with brass cages to combat the effects of vibration, operating fatigue, wear and corrosion.

The one- piece VS-series brass cage ensures accurate guidance of the rollers and also minimises resonance from the induced vibrations. In addition, because the cage is roller-centred it is insensitive to thermal effects; that is, there is no contact with the bearing inner ring. This non-contact design also ensures a reduced lubrication requirement for the bearings.

Long-life VS  series of spherical roller bearings have been designed specifically for Vibrating machinery such as screens, where heavy, shock loads are ever present.  These bearings have an increased load rating, better roller guidance and an improved surface roughness on the rollers, & inner and outer ring helping reduce bearing damage caused by slippage, flaking and surface fatigue.
