A new high precision class for combinable guides

NSK Presents its New PH Linear Guides

 

Previously, the users of linear guides have had to decide between two options: either a precision class that delivered extremely high accuracy and the best-possible running operation, or separate interchangeable slider and guide rails with shorter delivery times from the manufacturer.

Now, users no longer have to choose between these options, but can benefit from both high precision and quick delivery. This has been made possible by NSK’s new PH precision class.

During the development of this class, NSK optimized its production processes a level where that it is now possible to achieve a significantly higher degree of reproducible precision. As a result, PH class sliders can be deployed on readily available guide rails with low (ZZ) and medium preloading (ZH).

This makes the selection, storage, and use of precision linear guides much easier for machine manufacturers. Like the previously supplied versions, the PH class linear guides are self-aligning, meaning that compensation for alignment errors is easy and installation is straightforward.

The new PH class can be supplied for the LH/SH and LS/SS series with various guide slider models in sizes 15 to 45. The running smoothness and precision of all models is noticeably higher than in the well-known PC class. NSK also offers a broad range of options for these linear guides: for instance, K1 lubrication units and a variety of seals.

The new PH class is suitable for any application requiring a high degree of running smoothness. The high rigidity of the guide units is suitable for demanding applications, e.g. in the linear axes of machine tools. Additional applications include: paper machines, handling units, cutting machines, the semiconductor industry, medical engineering and measuring machines.
